Sincerely, Sloane Episode #21 | Lydia Jacoby ✨

Navigating success at a young age and pursuing a passion for fashion

In this week’s episode of Sincerely, Sloane, I’m joined by someone who knows a thing or two about becoming a household name overnight —Olympic gold medal swimmer Lydia Jacoby. You may have first seen Lydia during the Tokyo Olympics, when at just 17 years old Lydia won the gold medal in the 100 meter breaststroke and became the first ever Alaskan to qualify for an Olympic Games in swimming. Our conversation had me reflecting on my own journey and how quickly life can change when you achieve that big, career-defining moment.

For those looking in from the outside, success can seem “overnight.” But we both know it’s anything but. Behind every major win is a long road filled with hard work, sacrifices, and moments when no one was watching. In today’s episode, Lydia and I talk about what it’s like to stay true to yourself after big success and how we both approach the journey of not just reaching the pinnacle, but staying there and continuing to grow.

Lydia recently announced that she is forgoing her remaining collegiate eligibility and turning pro. I’m excited to cheer her on in this next progression of her swimming career!

Join us for this inspiring conversation that’s all about embracing the moments of victory while staying grounded and focused on what’s next.
